The short version

We collect two things. What you type into the contact form, and the plain server log that every website keeps. There is no third thing.

Analytics only if you agree to it, and no advertising tag at all. We do not sell your details, we do not build a profile of you, and we do not hand your enquiry to anybody else.

Who we are

This site is Ozelith. We make films and ads, websites and landing pages, brand identity and design, and automation. We work with business owners in India, and with clients in the United States, the United Kingdom, the UAE, Australia, Canada and Singapore.

Ozelith is a sole proprietorship. It is not an incorporated company, so there is no company number to give you. It works out of Office 522, EROS Corporate Park, Sector 2, IMT Manesar, Gurugram 122052, India, and it is registered for GST in India. The GST number is printed on every invoice we send.

In the language the laws use, Ozelith is the data fiduciary under the Indian DPDP Act 2023, and the data controller under the UK GDPR and the GDPR.

What we collect

Two things. Nothing else.

1. What you type into a contact form

There are two. The full form on the contact page asks for:

  • Your name
  • Your business name, if you give one
  • Your email address
  • Where you are, picked from a list of countries
  • What you need, picked from a short list
  • Your message, in your own words

Only the name and the email are required. The rest is optional, and the form works fine if you leave it blank. The short form on the home page asks for less again: your name, your email, what you need and your message. Please do not put bank details, passwords, ID numbers or anything else sensitive into the message box. We do not need it and we do not want to hold it.

2. Basic server logs

Like nearly every website, the server that hands you this page keeps a short technical record of the request. That usually means your IP address, the page you asked for, the time, and which browser you used. We do not use these logs to build a picture of you. They exist so the site can be kept running and so obvious abuse can be spotted.

Those logs sit with the company that hosts the site and are deleted on that company's own short cycle. We do not copy them, we do not export them, and we keep no archive of our own. If you need the exact period in writing for a request under the laws below, ask us and we will get it from the host for you.

Why we collect it

To reply to your enquiry, and to keep the site running. That is the whole list.

If you send an enquiry, we read it, we reply, and if the conversation turns into a project we keep the thread so we have a record of what was agreed. If you never write back, the enquiry just sits there until it is deleted on the schedule below.

If you are in the UK or the EU, the legal grounds are your consent when you choose to send us the form, and our legitimate interest in answering people who ask us a question and in keeping our own site secure.

What we do not do

  • We do not sell your data. Not to anyone, not for any price, not as part of any deal.
  • We do not build advertising profiles. Your details are not fed into ad platforms, lookalike audiences, retargeting lists or anything of that kind.
  • We do not add you to a newsletter. If you want one, you have to ask, and you can stop it any time by replying and saying so.
  • We do not pass your enquiry to other agencies or to so-called partners.
  • We do not make automated decisions about you. A person reads every enquiry.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that never turn into work are deleted after 12 months.

Records tied to paid work are kept for eight years from the end of the financial year the work was invoiced in. Indian income tax and GST rules set shorter minimums than that. We keep the full eight so the record outlasts any question that can still be raised about it. That is the invoice, the scope and the thread that agreed it, not your whole inbox.

Who else can see it

Only the companies that carry the message for us. They are not free to use your details for their own purposes.

Hosting
The company that serves this website and holds the server logs. It sees the request, it does not see you. We name our current host in writing to anyone who asks, and we change this page if we move.
Email
The company that carries and stores our email, which means it handles your enquiry and our replies to it. Same again: named in writing on request, and this page changes if we switch.
Form delivery
Supabase holds the database the form sends your enquiry to. If you run a travel business, Resend then sends you one email from us straight away, with our proposal. If we add another company here, this list changes before that goes live, not after.

Hosting and email companies may hold data outside India, or outside your own country. Where that happens it is covered by the contract we hold with that company. Ask us and we will tell you which country your enquiry is actually sitting in.

Beyond these, we share your details only if a court or the law requires it.

Your rights

Whatever country you are in, you can ask us to:

  • Send you a copy of everything we hold about you.
  • Correct anything that is wrong or out of date.
  • Delete what we hold, unless we are legally required to keep a record of paid work.
  • Stop using it, including withdrawing consent you gave earlier.

How to do it: email inquiry@ozelith.com with Privacy request in the subject line, and tell us in one line what you want. Write from the same address you used to contact us, so we know it is you. If you cannot, we may ask one simple question to check.

We aim to reply within one working day and to finish the request within 30 days, which is inside every deadline the laws below set. We do not charge for this.

Cookies

This site sets one cookie, and only if you agree to it. On your first visit a bar asks whether we may use Google Analytics. Nothing loads until you answer.

If you say yes, Google Analytics loads and sets its own cookies. It records which pages you opened, roughly where in the world you are, which site sent you here and what kind of device you used. It does not record your name, and we never send it anything you typed into the contact form. The data goes to Google, into a property we own.

If you say no, the tag is never fetched. No request reaches Google at all and no analytics cookie is set. Your answer is kept in your own browser so you are asked once rather than on every visit. To change your mind, clear this site's data in your browser and the bar will ask again.

There is no Meta pixel, no advertising tag, no heatmap recorder and no other third party tracking script anywhere on this site. The fonts are stored on our own server rather than loaded from Google, so no font request goes anywhere else either. The call button in the corner is ours and is served from this domain; it remembers only that you closed it, for as long as the tab stays open, and that is not a cookie.

That promise holds for anything we add later. This section gets rewritten on the day a tool is switched on rather than some time after, it will name the tool and say what the tool records, and nothing that sets a cookie will load until you have said yes to it.

If you are in India

The Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 applies to people in India. Under it you can ask for a copy of your data, ask for corrections, ask for deletion, and nominate someone to act for you if you cannot. You can also complain about how we handled a request.

Complaints go first to our Grievance Officer, which is the role the DPDP Act 2023 asks us to publish. It is the person who reads privacy mail here:

Put Grievance in the subject line. We acknowledge it within one working day and answer it within 30 days.

If you are not satisfied with the answer, you can take the complaint to the Data Protection Board of India.

If you are in the UK or the EU

Visitors from the United Kingdom have rights under the UK GDPR, and visitors from the European Union have rights under the GDPR. Those cover access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability and objection, and they are met through the same email address above. You also have the right to complain to your own supervisory authority, which in the UK is the Information Commissioner's Office.

Changes to this page

If we change how any of this works, we will change this page and move the date at the top. There is no mailing list to notify, so the date is the honest signal. Worth a look before you send anything new.
